What's New

Well Heather and I have been pushing posting something off to one another and nothing is getting posted. Well Heather you WON! Anyways it is our little Emily Ann's birthday this coming Sunday. We can hardly believe that a whole years has gone by and at the same time it seems so much has happened. In January I decided to leave my job at the Granite School District working in the AVID program of which I had been doing for the past 5 years to find full-time employment. It was a bitter-sweet experience as I loved working with students, and it was very rewarding; however, there wasn't any room for growth aside from teaching. Unfortunately I don't have a teaching degree and the 2 year time commitment with more school for no pay didn't intrigue me. I found an very excited position as a travel sales person, that helps people book vacations and had excellent benefits, when all was said and done it was for Bank of America handling customer service calls. Since it didn't really provide any valuable experience to my life long goals and barely satisfied my families immediate needs, I decided to find something else. My sister was kind enough to let me watch her kids at first part-time then turned into full-time while she and Rhen were at work. This was great because it allowed me to be at home full-time with our kids and bring in enough money. Even though I was sure glad when 5:45 rolled around everyday most of the time wishing I could send my own kids home too, it was a great experience and allowed me to get to know not only my niece and nephews a lot better, it allowed me to get to know my children even more than before. I start a new job on Monday. I am working for a local company as a college search advisor. I will be helping individuals that are looking to go to school get more information about their options. I think it will be rewarding, and will provide us with all the benefits we need, and will also provide enough income that Heather is now able to go part-time. She is very excited to be at home with the children during the week. I'll let Heather do a little update herself about what is new with her, and we will be putting pictures of the kids up soon.

Happy Halloween

Brayden's favorite movies are the Toy Stories, so we decided to dress him as Woody for Halloween. He loves his hat, gun, and boots. He had way too much fun Trick or Treating, at nearly every house he waved bye-bye accompanied by a blown kiss or two or three.
Emily was a little duck in honor of her mother. Heather thinks she makes a little face that looks like a duck, so naturally when we saw this costume, we had to get it for her..."it's so fluffy".

Brayden is 2!

Sorry this took so long. I've been trying to figure out how to put a video on the blog.

Brayden is finally two years old. We have been telling people he's two for a few weeks, because it is just easier than telling them he's 23 1/2 months old. For Brayden's birthday we had a party down at the park. It was so fun having everybody come and celebrate his birthday. Danny and Stella did a spectacular job putting together the yummy food and all of the delicious treats. It was wonderful having it at the park, because the kids could play on the playground and the adults could enjoy each others company.

Brayden has come to love dinosaurs. He walks around the house with his dinosaur just like it was a baby doll. He has attempted to feed it Emily's bottle, burp it and then turn around and have it eat Emily; and because of this newfound love for dinosaurs, for Brayden's party we decided to do a Dinosaur theme. Danny and I made a dinosaur cake and had dinosaurs as the centerpieces for the tables. I think Brayden enjoyed his party and it was great to see everybody there.

My mom got a new comcorder so instead of pictures I have videos. Here is Brayden blowing out his candle on his cake.

5 months already!

Well, It's been 5 months since Miss Emily was born. The time has sure flown by. She is starting to get her first tooth, loves to roll around and tries to eat anything she can get her hands on, even Brayden's toy dinosaur. She is one that generally has a ready smile, but she can have her moments of frustration too. Brayden just loves his baby sister. He will asks "Where's baby?" will give her kisses if we ask him to; tries to feed her goldfish crackers, and occasionally I will see him jumping up and down on her. We are very grateful that she has come into our lives.
